Registering a Provider Account for the Web Portal
Overview - The Register Provider Account function allows a provider to register as a user of the web portal. Once registered, the provider will have access to secure functions of the web portal, such as: using the message center, updating his/her information on file with the DHCF, and using the reports online function.

Registering a Provider Account for the Web Portal: Web Page Details
- On the left side of the Home Pagein the navigation bar, the provider should click Web Registration.
- The Provider Account Registration web page will be displayed.

- The provider should begin at the top of the registration form and complete all required information.
- If the provider has completed a portion of the form and wishes to begin anew, then he/she should click Clear All located at the bottom of the web page to clear all fields on the registration form.
- All of the fields listed below are required in order to successfully register for the web portal. If there are any errors with the information supplied in a field, then a message will be displayed near that field. For example, should a provider submit a non-numeric Provider ID, the error message, Only numbers allowed, will be displayed in red below the Provider ID field.
- Organization Type – either Individual or Group
- Logon ID – must not already be used by another provider
- Provider ID or NPI and Taxonomy
- If registering as an individual
- Last Name
- First Name
- SSN (last four digits)
- If registering as a group
- Organization Name
- EIN
- E-mail Address
- E-mail Address Verification
- Security Question
- Security Answer
- Once the provider has completed all required fields of the registration form, then he/she should click Submit located at the bottom of the web page. If the provider has supplied information that cannot be validated against the information on file, then an error message will be displayed in red at the top of the web page. For instance, should the last four digits of a provider’s SSN not match the SSN on file for that provider, then the error message, Provider ID/SSN combination not found, will be displayed at the top of the web page. Successful registrations will display the message, Registration Successful, at the top of the web page.
- The provider should check the e-mail address that he/she supplied in the web registration in order to obtain the temporary password.
